People often make generalizations and assumptions without truly understanding others. It's important to learn to ignore those judgments. I loved reading this, and I'm glad you're not willing to give up your authenticity just to fit in 😀
OMG Ritwik!!!! I’m so glad one of my pieces inspired you to share your story too 🥺
And honestly, you’re the manliest man I’ve ever met. F those losers. The courage it took for you to speak up is incredible ♡ I respect you so much for that <3 Wow, just wow!!!!
thank you so much for sharing! my straight guy friends are a lot like you like that, they're comfortable in being themselves and liking what they like and that's why it's such a joy to be around them. which is why it's such a contrast when i go on a date with a 'bro' who listens to rap music and spreads 'like a matress' as you put it, i love your type of straight guys, you're the kind worth making friends with
I absolutely adored this piece. You are so brave for sharing this and opening up! i have always hated the perspective that any man that respects women has to be gay and i have never understood it. You can only ever respect women if you are not attracted to them?
I don’t have many male friends that i have kept over the years because the way they view women and women’s interests breaks my heart but i think we’d be great friends! and you are more manly than any loser disrespectful man i’ve ever met who needs to put others down simply to feel more manly
After reading this I was reminded of one of my favourite quotes by Albert Camus which goes as, "The only way to deal with an unfree world is to become so absolutely free that your very existence is an act of rebellion."
I hate myself for missing out on this masterpiece. It was such a brilliant post!😭🔥
The way you highlighted your life and the dumb mentality of the wannabe "real men" is awesome! Don't pay any heed to those people who say that your voice is effeminate. I have heard your voice and it is pretty great. YOU ARE A MAN. Period. And feminist men are a gem, so stay calm!☺️❤️
Absolutely agree with the Barbie movie!! I love these Barbie movies and how they embrace this ‘girl power’ themes that sustain through the Barbie era. And the music and songs are just wonderful, still sing them all the time!!
This post has challenged the stereotypes for men. In school, I have seen how the other boys in the class made fun of that boy who didn't walk 'manly' or talk in a 'girly' way. Even I used to made fun of them. But later realised how wrong I was. These are nothing but typical stereotypes for men as there is for women. Wish to see more posts like this❤️
I personally hate when people attribute liking certain things to being queer, not because i dislike the community, but because it doesn’t let people just BE.
sometimes it can literally feel as though it’s wrong to be heterosexual, lots of my friends use being heterosexual as an “insult”, making it seem like just because someone is straight it makes them inherently uninteresting, which i think is a reductionist stereotype.
and often the things that people like which makes them seem queer (as a man) are usually feminine things, even parts of the queer community does this, they’ll see a man with a good style and say “he’s gay” (of course not all queer people do this)
Great Article, thank you very much for articulating a very important idea. I’m not sure of your religion so please don’t be offended by my reference to the Bible but I’d like you and your readers to know if the story of Esau and Jacob, they were twins but not identical. One was rough, tough and by societies standards manly and the other slight, and somewhat effeminate. God blessed both of them and God had plans for both of them. You are exactly what God intended and God does not create junk.
Also in the Bible the Church of Christ is described as the body of Christ in the books of 1 Corinthians and again in Romans. The body is used to describe unique gifts, talents, purposes and challenges we all have. It rightly points out the body cannot be comprised of all hands or all eyes and nothing else. It could not exist or function if such were the case. We are the same, we each have a place and purpose. The eye should not be jealous of the hand because it cannot grasp or the eye should not feel superior to other parts because it alone can see. It has been a long time since I’ve studied about Hinduism but I think that idea resonates well with that belief. We all have a place and purpose.

Ps: I love your name. It’s one of my favourite words. And I’ve even written a poem and composed an instrumental track about this word 😊

So true!!
I started to express a similar idea here, but I really value how you expressed it

Thankyou so much for reading Brian.
I follow Hinduism. Thankyou for telling the biblical story. Not offended at all. I didn’t know about this story but it feels so assuring.
Thanks
