Finally read this piece. I loved this focus on nostalgia. I feel like we talk about it a lot, but hardly understand it. It's like you said, the further we are away from a memory or moment in our life, the more broad the memory becomes and we remember the good feelings we used to have... To answer your question, I wouldn't go back. I love my life in the present, and am working towards a dream of mine, but until then I still really enjoy my life. I think though it is because I am living out dreams that I once had as a child or university student. I remind myself constantly that I used to dream about being where I am at. So, I need to relish in these present moments before they shift too quickly into something else.
Very thought provoking... I'd never really thought about it quite that way before, I'd often said to my children I wish I could go back to my childhood and take them with me to show them how things were then, or let them experience some of the things I got up to, (things I wouldn't dream of doing nowadays, )
I sometimes shudder to think of those things, 😉😂😊 but they were such fun at the time...
I think it's best to visit in our thoughts, like you said, a brain vacation, and then come back to the now...
Thank you for sharing this thought with us, I have enjoyed it very much 👩🌾🐕🫂🪻💜
I have to come back and read all of this. I just wanted to say that I have had that Taylor song stuck in my head all week! Haha so nice to connect.

So true!! Danielle. If we are living the dreams we had as a child, in the present, then it’s the best achievement for us.
Thankyou for coming back and reading this. 🥹✨♥️

It’s a very easy trap to fall into.
